All training is delivered by highly qualified nurses with several years experience of training and delivering complex care in the community.

Our training is interactive, informative and fun, enabling each individual to develop to their full potential. We offer training to care staff, nurses and allied healthcare professionals. This is the training that our own staff complete to ensure they are fully trained for complex care.

We offer bespoke training to suit the requirements of your staff, the client and your business.

Training

G&P Healthcare offer high quality, tailored and relevant training to independent care providers throughout the UK. We train staff to a competent level while always ensuring the training is evidence based.

We specialise in

Epilepsy Management – including medications, buccal Midazolam and rectal Diazapam

Palliative Care – including end of life care

Continence –
including management of catheters, stomas (colostomy, urostomy, ileostomy)

Medications Management –
all aspects of medications management including administration

Ventilation –
Covers all aspects of caring for someone who uses a ventilator, maintaining an airway and using ventilation machines

Airway Management including Tracheostomy Care –
course includes early warning signs of respiratory distress, tracheostomy care including cleaning, suctioning, tapes, changing inner tubes and full tube changes, stoma site care and emergency procedures

PEG Management – covers caring for someone with a PEG, PEG feeding and hydration, bolus and pump feeding, medications via PEG and caring for the stoma site

Oxygen Therapy – including respiratory conditions, use of oxygen, equipment safety, concentrators and cylinder use

Suction Management – covers safe suctioning techniques, equipment, best practice, clinical need

Spinal Injuries and Acquired Brain Injuries – this is an indepth course for anyone caring for someone with a spinal injury or ABI. The courses covers all aspect of care, including autonomic dysreflexia, bowel management, and body image.

Diabetes Management – course includes awareness of hyper and hypoglycaemia, treatments including medications used, diet and lifestyle and emergency procedures.

Anaphylaxis and Epipen Training – Course includes recognising an allergic reaction with and without shock, administration of adrenaline by epipen, emergency situations and after care.

Care Planning and Documentation – covers legal and ethical issues, knowledge and practical skills to effectively plan care and desired outcomes. Covers current legislation including CQC guidelines, Caldicott principles and data protection

Parkinsons Disease – Course includes signs and symptoms, treatment and medications involved. Covers safety, falls risk, effects on the body and quality of life
